I was always more of a country tomboy growing up. I didn’t really wear dresses or skirts, instead I wore mostly sweatpants or jeans (and occasionally I wore leggings.) I absolutely love wearing my timberland shoes everywhere I go, and you’ll most likely see me in a nice flannel or a camo sweatshirt.

I was always more on the artistic and creative side. My Meme (grandmother) taught me to sew little projects from a young age. Those skills just kind of stuck with me for all these years. I would then use my sewing knowledge and other art skills I knew to create all sorts of things. I’d use some of that skill to help my team win different competitions in Destination Imagination.

I started the fursuit business in January 2023. I was nervous about starting my own business. I didn’t know how to price any of my items and didn’t really know what good or bad quality. I did a bunch of test trials with some poor-quality faux fur I got off amazon. My test trial of my very first deer tail wasn’t so bad (as shown in the picture). I then felt confident enough to buy good quality fur and start making small tails and paws.

I currently have a Deer/Jackalope fursona named Dawn. I feel that Dawn represents my more playful side of me. She’s also sweet and a lot of fun to be around. Her eye color is one of my favorite colors and a lot of people know Dawn for her colors and her personality. I feel I can represent that side of me through her freely and not be judged.

I am so happy to be a part of a community that loves you for who you are and accepts every part of you. I have made so many new friends through this community and I wish to make more on the way. This community has helped me to shape the fun, positive, high energy person I am today. I would like to thank all my friends for supporting me in this community as well as in my business.
